Khondabi said that Joey and she first met at Greenwood Christian School, and they remained close throughout their college years, before beginning to meet in high school senior year. Howard was a student who transferred to Irmo in the state of South Carolina to Dutch Fork High School and finished his studies at Dutch Fork, was a close friend of Khondabi. They started dating. Khondabi graduated from Emerald High School in 2007 and from the University of South Carolina in 2011, obtaining a broadcast journalism degree. She also studied sports and entertainment. Joey completed her studies at USC too. Liam is their pet. Khondabi said that she as well as Joey love eating, and one of the things they love eating at home is onion rings that they get from Dixie Drive-In. Khondabi added, "I'm a very curious person."
